Constructed on the back wall of my graduate studio, the bare figure establishes a core within the orbital pulls of the space—intentionally active and unstable. I constructed the figure in layers and pieces, following my intuition through the space as it developed, locating myself within the different evolutions of my practice that the collaged materials represent. It existed until I vacated the studio, when it was dismantled, painted out, and the pieces used to fuel new digestions.
